About Me

Welcome to my blog! Operation GFR started out several years ago as a pact between a friend of mine and I to commit to our fitness goals and “Get F*ing Ripped”.

Back then I was a single mom of a toddler. I was working as, at the time, what was my dream job as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor. I was going to school full-time. I was struggling, but I was INSANELY HAPPY.

Fast forward a few years.

I got married and moved to the coldest place I’ve ever been (Fort Drum, NY). I quit training shortly after. My husband and I fought all the time. I had my 2nd child. I struggling through school and life, and being nearly swallowed by depression.

We moved back home to FL in 2014, and my husband deployed shortly after.

I started to feel like I was getting back to myself. I was in the sunshine. I was coaching CrossFit. I was feeling ok about things! But I still felt like I needed something more in my life. I started selling clothes for a popular MLM clothing brand, but that turned out to be a flop. The gym I was coaching at closed. And I started to get even more depressed, again. I quit going to the gym. I quit socializing. I’d pretty much resigned myself to this mom and house wife bubble.

So now, Operation GFR has now become my goal to “Get F*ing RIGHT”. This blog is about getting out of my bubble and finding happiness with myself. It’s about my struggles, my triumphs, my plans, and letting go of the past and looking with hope toward the future. By sharing my own thoughts and experiences about my daily life, my hope is that I might inspire you to find peace, joy and humor in your own. If you, too, are looking to “Get F*ing RIGHT”, I’d love for you to join me on this journey!
